Upcoming Events and General Information for 2017

As we begin warming up for the 2017 Little League Season, there are several dates, events, and bits of information that we would like to share so you can start to plan ahead.

January 21st - from 9am to 3pm, we will be holding our second and last in-person registration event at the Fire District 3 station in Hockinson. Stop by at any time and get registered. Check out our REGISTRATION page for more information. Be sure to note the updated 2017 Residency and School Attendance Eligibility Requirements.

January 28th - from 10am to 1pm, we will be holding the first of two Safety Evaluations at Hockinson Middle School in the gym. T-Ball players are exempt. You only need to attend one of the two events but if a player does not attend a Safety Evaluation, per Little League International rules, they will be placed on a team after the draft has been completed and special requests can not be taken into consideration. Please contact our Safety Officer, Damon or our Umpire in Chief, Jim - in advance - if you have a conflict.

February 11th - from 10am to 1pm, we will be holding the second of the two Safety Evaluations at Hockinson Middle School in the gym.

February 20th - Highlands Little League Draft. 6pm to 9pm at Hockinson Fire Station. The draft is only attended by required HLL Board Members and two approved representatives (manager/coach) for each team.

March 1st - the soft opening of the 2017 season. Practices can start this date but, as always, practice schedules are determined by the volunteer managers/coaches. Each manager will contact their players with the practice schedule. Practices will start first and then game schedules will follow after inter-league schedules are developed with neighboring leagues.

March 4th - Hockinson High School Baseball Clinic! The details will be released on our Facebook page when we have them but, you won't want to miss this collaboration between HHS Senior ball players to benefit young players. It was a fantastic experience last year and we're looking forward to it again!

March 18th - Highlands Little League Opening Ceremonies event at Summit View Church and Highlands Little League fields. Official opening, team photos, and Hit-A-Thon. Rain or shine, a great kick-off to the 2017 season!
