Let the Games Begin!

AYSO kicked off its fall season last week with the U-5 and U-6 divisions playing their first round of games on Tuesday and Wednesday followed by Opening Ceremonies on Friday. AYSO is Key West’s largest youth sports league with more than 700 boys and girls ages 4-14 competing on 84 teams throughout the season. U-5, U-6, and U-8 games will be held at Gerald Adams Elementary School, U10 games will be held at the Key West High School Backyard, and U-12 and U-14 games will be held at Poinciana Elementary School. AYSO is a 100% volunteer-run organization sponsored by local businesses. League Commissioner Tom Coward gave special thanks to Key West’s military families who volunteered to coach 15 different teams this season. “Without such tremendous support from the community, we could never serve this many children,” said Coward.

Although AYSO player registration is closed for this season, the league is always in need of volunteers, coaches, and sponsors. For more information, see our Volunteers Page
