WHEN ARE GAMES PLAYED

All games are played on Saturday mornings at the River Soccer Club Complex beginning at 10:00 a.m. The recreational soccer program usually lasts for about 1.5 hours.

PERSONAL TEAM REQUESTS

Personal team request will not be granted unless there are extenuating circumstances, (siblings, etc) All outdoor recreational games begin and end within a few minutes of each other so those who are carpooling should create a meeting spot near the clubhouse. Team requests make the composing of teams difficult and sometimes very lopsided; every effort is made to make each team even. In extenuating circumstances a decision will be made by the director of recreational soccer.

PLAYING UP

It is not recommended that your child play up a division, however if the parents, director of coaching, and the recreational director agree then a child may move up.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

• Each participant will be issued a River Soccer Club shirt, the shirt should be worn each week.
• Each player should wear white or black athletic shorts
• Shin Guards are required. Socks should cover shin guards, socks can be any color.
• Shoes u8, u10 & u12 should wear cleats, u6 cleats or sneakers are acceptable.
• Soccer balls are required. Please mark your child soccer ball with name. Pre K-2 use a size 3 ball; Grades 3-5 use a size 4 ball;, Grades 6-8 use a size 5 ball. River Soccer Club sells soccer balls for $10.00 each.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

We play soccer in the rain, we play soccer when it’s cold, and we play soccer when the fields are open. If it is raining and the fields are open, players need to go to their games. River Soccer Club only closes the fields if there is a chance the fields will be damaged (standing water, new grass). In case there is a cancellation due to weather an auto call will be made by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, if there is no call then the games are on and fields are playable.

REFUND POLICY

Due to the costs incurred for uniforms, league, and insurance fees, no refunds will be made after teams are formed and rosters are distributed. All requests for refund must be made in writing (email is acceptable) and sent to Rob Engel, and must include name of child, date of birth, reason for refund and the name of the person to whom the refund check should be written and contact information. Approved refunds will be made within 90 days of the request.

Exceptions to the refund policy are noted below:

Player moving out of area (proof of relocation must be provided)
Player suffering an injury prior to first schedule season game (doctors verification must be presented)

Please note River Soccer Club will not honor refund request made for coach dissatisfaction, schedule/time conflicts, and/or any other reason than the noted approved exceptions.
