Terry Underkoffler to Coach at the United States Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program's National Development Camp

FRISCO, Texas (Jan. 24, 2012) – US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls is holding its national development camp for the 1995, 1996 and 1997 age groups from Feb. 7-12, 2012, at Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zahler Sports Complex in Las Vegas.

More than 190 invitation-only players will attend the event. Players will come together from around the country to train and play alongside fellow elite athletes. The developmental camp will highlight the players individual talents and provide opportunities for their play to shine. Region I goalkeeper coach Terry Underkoffler will be on the coaching staff that will train, coach, and evaluate the players in practice and in competition. He has been on the Region I Girls Head ODP staff since 1981.

"US Youth Soccer ODP is the most storied and well established pathway for select players to climb the pyramid toward the National Teams," said Sam Snow, US Youth Soccer director of coaching. "For more than 30 years the program has positively impacted the growth of players, coaches, administrators and referees. No other elite player identification program reaches the depth and breadth of US Youth Soccer ODP. The serious soccer participant needs to be in this program."

US Youth Soccer is divided into four regions, Region I (East), Region II (Midwest), Region III (South) and Region IV (West) to assist in national competition and training.

US Youth Soccer ODP is the original Olympic development program and the only elite player development program claiming members of Major League Soccer and Women's Professional Soccer as well as a majority of current and past national and youth team members, as alumni. And, with programs in all 55 State Associations as well as regional and national level championships and participation in international tournaments, US Youth Soccer ODP continues to lead the way.
